Getting Started with duct tape

I've always liked to create things with my hands whether it's on paper in clay, or fabric. It seems like if I'm not doing something with my hands, I feel at a loss. So, I want to get back into those things, first off I want to get back into sewing creating things that people can wear. I'm not saying that anyone would want to wear anything that I make, I'm doing this for me, to feel fulfilled and have fun! Starting today I'm going to make myself a mannequin out of duct tape so I won't have to keep measuring myself then the fabric and have to do a lot of guess work. It's all very awkward that way and time consuming.
